Counting Pigs Espresso Martini

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

There's something about the marriage of premium vodka and rich espresso, resulting in a concoction that tantalises the taste buds and enlivens the senses. When it comes to selecting the perfect vodka for this creation, Counting Pigs answers the call. Crafted from rare Irish heritage potatoes and triple distilled to perfection, Counting Pigs vodka boasts a signature crisp taste and an exceptionally smooth finish, making it the ideal foundation for an Espresso Martini.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Counting Pigs vodka

  • 1 oz coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa)

  • 1 oz  espresso

  • Ice cubes

  • 3 coffee beans (for garnish)

Instructions:

  • Prepare Your Ingredients:

    • Gather all your ingredients together. Ensure your espresso is freshly brewed and still warm.

  • Chill Your Glass:

    • Begin by chilling your martini glass. You can do this by filling it with ice and allowing it to sit while you prepare the cocktail. This ensures the glass is cold when serving.

  • Combine Ingredients in Shaker:

    • In a cocktail shaker, add 1.5 oz of Counting Pigs vodka.

    • Follow with 1 oz of coffee liqueur. The rich, sweet flavour of the coffee liqueur complements the vodka and espresso perfectly.

    • Pour in 1 oz of espresso. The warmth and bold flavour of the espresso will elevate the cocktail.

    · Add Ice and Shake:

    • Fill the cocktail shaker with ice cubes. It's best to use fresh ice to ensure optimal chilling without diluting the cocktail.

    • Secure the lid tightly on the shaker.

    • Shake the mixture vigorously for about 10-15 seconds. The shaking action not only chills the ingredients but also creates a frothy texture.

  • Prepare Glass:

    • Once shaken, tap the side of the shaker to break the vacuum seal.

    • Empty the ice from the martini glass to ensure a clean pour.

    · Strain and Serve:

    • Place a strainer over the shaker to catch any ice or coffee grounds.

    • Carefully pour the contents of the shaker through the strainer into the chilled martini glass. This helps remove any ice chips and ensures a smooth pour.

  • Garnish:

    • To finish, garnish the Espresso Martini with three coffee beans placed delicately on the foam. This not only adds visual appeal but also enhances the aroma of the cocktail.

    Serve and Enjoy:

    • Serve it immediately while it's still cold, allowing your guests to experience the rich flavours and aromas of this sophisticated cocktail.

Cheers to the perfect Espresso Martini made with Counting Pigs vodka!
