THE CLASSIC MARTINI

Embark on a journey of taste and sophistication as we delve into the art of crafting the perfect purple cocktail infused with the unparalleled quality of Counting Pigs vodka. In this detailed guide, we'll unlock the secrets to creating a libation that not only delights the palate but also captivates the eye with its mesmerising hues of purple.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 oz Counting Pigs vodka

  • 1/2 oz dry vermouth

  • Ice cubes

  • Lemon twist or olive, for garnish

Instructions:

Chill Your Glass: Place a martini glass in the freezer for at least 10-15 minutes before making your cocktail. A chilled glass helps keep your Martini cold from start to finish.

Prepare Your Ingredients: Measure out 2 1/2 oz of Counting Pigs vodka or gin and 1/2 oz of dry vermouth.

Combine the Ingredients: Fill a mixing glass or cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour in the measured Counting Pigs vodka or gin and dry vermouth.

Stir or Shake: Depending on your preference, you can either stir or shake your Martini. Stirring is traditional and creates a smooth, silky texture. Stir the ingredients gently but thoroughly for about 30 seconds. If you prefer a slightly more diluted and colder Martini with a bit of aeration, you can shake it. Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds.

Strain Into Your Glass: Remove the martini glass from the freezer. Using a strainer, pour the contents of the mixing glass or shaker into the chilled martini glass.

Garnish: For a classic Martini, garnish with a twist of lemon. Hold a piece of lemon peel over the glass and express the oils by giving it a gentle twist, then drop it into the drink. Alternatively, you can garnish with an olive. Simply skewer one or two olives on a cocktail pick and place it in the Martini.

Serve and Enjoy: Present your Martini to your guest or yourself with style. Sip slowly and savour the crisp, clean flavours of Counting Pigs vodka or gin, perfectly complemented by the subtle herbal notes of dry vermouth.

With these simple steps, you can create a classic Martini that's sure to impress. Whether you're enjoying a quiet evening at home or entertaining guests, the Martini is a timeless cocktail that never goes out of style.
